summary: Airport Height Zones is a polygon layer representing the maximum allowable height for manmade structures and natural features within the 3 mile airport zoning area surrounding the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport.
accessInformation: The dataset was created in May 2016 by Zach Felling, Eau Claire County Planning & Development. The dataset was derived from analysis using the following input datasets: - ZONING07.DGN (Wisconsin Bureau of Aeronautics) - PLSS_Quarter_Sections (Eau Claire County) - Parcels (Eau Claire County)

description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN>Airport Height Zones is a polygon layer representing the maximum allowable height for manmade structures and natural features within the 3 mile airport zoning area surrounding the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport. The square polygons are subdivisions of the PLSS sections. Some polygons follow streets or parcel boundaries. The dataset is derived directly from the 2007 CAD file showing the same information that was created by the Wisconsin Bureau of Aeronautics. The reason for creating the dataset was to achieve a GIS layer that was spatially aligned with locally created accurate PLSS and parcel data. It was found that the CAD files were out of alignment with local data by hundreds of feet in some cases and more accurate data was needed for local decision making.</SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
